D was driving De’sha and Alize’ home from school His parents had finally given him the keys to the Maxima. He could only use it to go back and forth to school and to drive Alize’ home if she was over at the house. His parents were trying to teach him responsibility but he was not feeling it. He wanted to come and go as he pleased, like Boog did.

He dropped Ali off at her house because she had a doctor’s appointment. De’sha climbed in the front seat once she got out. When they pulled up at home, Boog was there waiting. He was outside shooting hoops; D could tell he was high as fuck.

“What up baby?” he said to Sha while giving her a kiss on the forehead. “What up nigga,” he said to D.

“What up with that Kush nigga?” Lil D hadn’t smoked in a few weeks because he promised his dad he would slow down. He didn’t understand how his parents could tell him not to smoke but they both smoked. “Such hypocrites,” he thought to himself.

Boog handed him a pre-rolled blunt and followed De’sha in the house. He knew her parents weren’t home and he wasn’t supposed to be there but he didn’t care, he was high as fuck. D stayed outside to smoke so Sha and Boog had some time to themselves. “Finally,” Boog was happy to have some alone time with his girl, even if it was just a few minutes. De’sha was just as excited. She quickly wrapped her arms around her man and kissed him. He was backing her up toward the bed when he heard a knock on the door.

“Just so you know; dad just pulled up. Boog you better get in my room ASAP.” Devon was tempted to walk right into her room but he didn’t want to see something he would regret so he just chose to speak thru the door.

Boog ran across the hall to D’s room and closed the door. “Damn that was too close,” he said. D looked at his boy and laughed. He got up and turned on the computer so he could show his boy a picture of a car he found on Craig’s list. They were laughing and talking shit about nothing when Devon came in his son’s room. He gave him and Boog dap and then left back out. Boog was relieved he didn’t mention anything about him not being there when he wasn’t home.

“Are you gonna survive without Sha for 4 whole days?” Lil D was being funny. If Boog didn’t start dating his sister, he could have gone on the trip with them. His father had given the okay but now, he changed his mind. Lil D was gonna surprise his boy but he never got the chance. “Oh well.”

“You got jokes nigga. If you can survive without Ali, I can survive without Sha!” Boog didn’t really mean it. He was going to miss her like crazy. The last week they spent together was the best week of his life.
